As part of the Apollo 11 mission, Astronaut Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon on July 20, 1969. Now he will appear on hit show “Dancing With The Stars” as a contestant beginning March 22, 2010. Strangely, there is a connection between these events separated by more than 4 decades.

In a recent interview with me, Aldrin – a pre-boomer born in 1930 – allowed that being part of the cast on Dancing With The Stars will draw attention to his former career. This will provide a platform from which Aldrin will be able to divert the spotlight from him and shine it on the need to revitalize the US space program.

According to Mr. Aldrin the US could become the world leader in space exploration again if it became more of a coordinator and less of a competitor. Buzz is hoping to use the media as a platform to garner more votes for his dancing, but more so to garner more fans of his plan to initiate global space cooperation. Like the space station has seen so far, Buzz believes cooperation will lead to more advances, more discoveries and more progress than wasteful competition has done thus far. He believes the race to space supremacy has resulted in wasted money, time and human resources.

New Seniors.com is producing the interview as a 5 part series beginning March 22nd, 2010. His interview will be featured in their NewSeniors Journal, which is an online magazine for 65+. Broken into 5 parts Buzz talks about his views on the future, his personal obversations about life, particularly on the role of his generation and thoughts about being a competitor on Dancing With The Stars. His moon walking experience during the space race has put him in a unique position to see the world.

Did you ever wonder what happened to the space program after the moon walk? Buzz goes into detail and gives his thoughts about what would get the movement going again. There’s one superpower on the planet, it’s time for them to lead the charge again.

Want to find out more about Buzz Aldrin, then visit Don Potter’s site that shows the world from the eyes of the new senior.

No matter where you go, you’re going to find a shelf or rack in every home in the country. Simply put, modern rack systems are an excellent example of a storage solution. With the newest design of hybrid rack system, you’ll be surprised at just how much stuff you can pack into such a small amount of space. You may take up studying quantum mechanics and astrophysics in a vain effort to try and figure out where all your stuff is being stored in those three square feet of floor space. This is great because it simply gets all your stuff out of the way. No matter what you need to store, no matter where you need to store it, the modern rack systems they’re making these days can really help get it in a neat, orderly, organized fashion.

These racks are often designed to be customizable. That means that you will be able to put them wherever it is you need them to be. In addition, this allows you to adjust them whenever necessary and however you please. Simply put, it’s all about convenience, flexibility, and adaptability. No matter the shape and size of your home, no matter what you need to store, these rack systems will help you store everything you need to store, wherever you need to store it, in a neat, orderly fashion.

Racks like this are manufacture in steel, PVC, or other sturdy materials. What this means is that they will last for years. How many times have you built a rack or a shelf in the garage only to have it fall apart not long after, or get bent out of shape having been built of cheap aluminum or other low quality materials? The solution is obvious: Steel. PVC works too, of course, but the real appeal here is steel, which really goes the distance when it comes to longevity and making sure that your rack stays in one piece.

These hybrid rack systems can be purchased pretty much anywhere you buy shelving. The best place to look for them is probably in the home decor section of your favorite discount store.

You could also look online to find some great racks. Online, you can expect to pay a little less, but you won’t be able to check them out in person, so it may seem like you’re at a crossroads here, but here’s what you want to do…

So here’s what we recommend: Do some window shopping, but make the purchase online. Tell the people at the store that you want to look at their racks system in the shelving section, take a look around, see what you like, and then go home, get online, and make the purchase from an internet vendor to save a few bucks. Make sure you like the warehouse shelving.

When it comes to your home, you may as well not settle for anything less than the very best. The perfect rack may cost a dollar or two more than the cheapo brand shelves, but you have to think of it as an investment. A cheap rack will break, and that’s just simple fact. Sooner or later, it will break, and you’ll have to replace it. In the long run, this winds up costing you a lot more than a slightly more expensive rack that will last for years, or even decades.

The choice is yours, but if you want to be able to take pride in your home, if you want to save money in the long run, and if you want to combine convenience, durability and style in one package, go with a steel manufactured hybrid rack system.

Warehouse shelving Toronto offers customers improved storage solutions, assisting customers with the process of inventory management. Using racks system and warehouse Shelving Toronto to ensure the best service.

Warehouse shelving is considered a necessity for wholesalers or retailers, who routinely use heavy duty metal shelves to store stock safely. Often, however, the value of a good shelving system is overlooked when it comes to industrial application.

Manufacturing environments usually have even more types of items they must keep on hand. Component parts may be as small as a half inch washer or as large as a motor. In addition, there is normally a large collection of tools, many of them specialized, which are rarely used and therefore not incorporated with the workbench.

Easy access to parts and tools speeds up production and eliminates wasted time. In addition, inventory is expedited and damages are reduced. Yet all too often, warehouse shelving is ignored in an industrial application. Parts and tools are piled on pallets or even the floor. Cardboard boxes, often unlabelled, are filled with miscellaneous parts that must be sorted through to find what is needed.

A good shelving system can solve these problems. Metal shelves support inventory in a clean, organized way. Employee safety is increased, as there is less bending and stooping and far fewer trip hazards. Parts that need to be reordered are more quickly identified, resulting in fewer work stoppages due to out of stock components. And items are not as likely to be broken or damaged.

Shelves can be found in a wide range of styles to accommodate any type of environment. Perhaps a company needs to store dozens of sizes of screws, bolts, and washers. There are shelving units that can hold bins to store each type separately. Or maybe a manufacturer uses various sizes of metal rods. A shelving unit with tilted hooks is tailor made for the task. There are even shelves that can handle entire pallets of material with ease.

Industrial warehouse racking units are available in a wide range of shelf styles. Plain, flat metal shelves are the most common, but wire mesh is also available. They can also be found with rubber covered shelves to cushion items. Inserts such as bins and drawers are also available, as well as locking doors. Custom shelving units can be designed, but are seldom needed due to the wide range of accessories available.

Shelving unit styles may be open on all sides or enclosed on the sides and back. They may be as short or tall as needed, and shelf widths can be narrow or deep. For cavernous warehouses, mezzanine style shelves utilize overhead space that is normally wasted space. However, this type will require stairs or lifts and usually catwalks to access the items stored on them.

Warehouse shelving lasts for many years. It is easy to clean and resists the effects of the elements very well. After a few decades of abuse, a quick touch up of paint might be needed, but there should be no rust issues to deal with.

For years, companies have realized the benefits of using metal shelves to store finished product and storage boxes. Manufacturers are now beginning to take note of their advantages and to expand the use of warehouse shelving for industrial application.

The retail design of your company can play a huge role in the overall success of your company. Actually, your retail design is one of the important factors in communicating to customers who you are and what you stand for as a company. In retail image is everything.

Good retail design stimulates your patrons visually by using the shelving, shop fittings and promotional material and displays to make statements about your business. It must always look crisp and clean, in good repair and eye-catching to the customer. You must consider doing a store refit every several years approximately to ensure that your retail design is current and effective.

There are many things that you can do to make your retail design better without having to coming up a lot of money. One of the greatest way to draw customers into your shop and to visually appeal to them is to have superb window and shop displays. These help to promote your products and tell your patrons about their existence.

Your displays should be colorful, seasonally appropriate, interesting and use different props to make your point. You can possibly get help from various companies that you deal with in your business as many product manufacturers employ visual merchandisers who can come and do displays for you in shop.

Shelving and how items are put on shelving is a vital consideration of retail design. It is suggested to put your top selling and most costly products at eye level. At times companies will give you special deals on items if you put them in a certain location. You ought to also line up your items biggest to smallest left to right, when there is more than one size of a product. This is because people’s eyes naturally go to the left first since we read left to right.

The space between your shelves should be just huge enough to ergomically allow people to remove the products. If there is too much vacant space, the visual effect of the products on the shelf is watered down. It is also important to have lots of stock on the shelf to create a visual impact.

An vital element of retail design is that your store is immaculately clean. People will not have confidence in your business and its products if it is not clean. You should set up a checklist to ensure that goods, displays are cleaned often, and this should be considered the responsibility of everyone in the company.

When deciding your retail design makes sure, there is a flow to the layout and that huge items, quick sellers and high priced items are in hot spots around the store. The entrance of the shop as patrons walk in the door is the greatest spot of all.

By putting a little thought and preparation into your retail design, you can create the right image for your business and use the retail design to lead to more sales and profit for your business.
